The public appetite for archaeology and history seems to be almost limitless. Historic England report that 73% of adults visit a heritage site at least once a year and that there are annually 56.8 million individual visits to historic sites in England.
Triskele Heritage work alongside communities to research, understand and present their historic assets to a wide audience. We are capable of leading fieldwork, training volunteers in archaeological techniques, advising on the management of historic sites, producing interpretation, working with groups to publish materials and leading on workshops and talks.
There is simply no point doing archaeology unless we let people know what we have been doing on site! Therefore, community archaeology helps to put research straight into public ownership by guiding volunteers through the process.
