Blacksmiths Lane, Kelham, Nottingham
A collaborative project working alongside MB Archaeology, Kelham Revealed was supported by the Heritage Fund and sought to understand the historic development of this Nottinghamshire village.
Triskele Heritage facilitated training sessions for volunteers in buildings archaeology, archival research, map regression and provided practical classes in recording the historic built environment.
Additionally, statements of significance were produced for two buildings in the village, one of which has been tentatively re-dated by at least three centuries to the mid-late fourteenth century.
The project reporting can be found here and we made a short documentary about our findings at one of the houses – that turned out to be a hidden mediaeval gem!.
