Dr James Wright of Triskele Heritage is an award winning buildings archaeologist. He has two decades professional experience of ferreting around in people’s cellars, hunting through their attics and digging up their gardens. He hopes to find meaningful truths about how ordinary and extraordinary folk lived their lives in the past.
He is a very proficient public speaker, both in-person and online, with over fifteen years of experience talking for organisations including the University of Nottingham, Arts Society, Gresham College, National Trust, WEA, Heritage Lincolnshire and Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
As with all modern teaching requirements James has successfully completed Disclosing and Barring Service checks as well as Foundation Online Learning in Safeguarding and Prevent. He has also successfully completed training in public speaking via the University of Nottingham Graduate School.
He presents in a clear and conversational style (without notes or script) and readily uses high quality illustrative slides throughout his lectures. The talks are adaptable and can be presented in person or online to novice, mid-level or expert audiences. Many of his lectures have been subsequently published in peer reviewed journals or books.
