Historical research can play a vital and valuable role in complimenting the archaeological record. The discipline of historical archaeology is now well-established and plays a critical part in researching the built environment. Whether the project requires an assessment of published sources, historic mapping or original archival research, Triskele Heritage are able to produce detailed historical backgrounds.

Our experience has included unearthing the building accounts of mediaeval palaces and castles; sixteenth century houses, seventeenth century cottages, eighteenth century hospitals, nineteenth century railway architecture and twentieth century colleges. Essentially, all sites are of interest and further research.

Please get in contact with us to see how we may be able to better understand the historical records relating to your site of interest.
