The discipline of historical archaeology is now well-established and plays a critical part in researching the built environment. Our experience has included unearthing the building accounts of mediaeval palaces and castles; sixteenth century houses, seventeenth century cottages, eighteenth century hospitals, nineteenth century railway architecture and twentieth century colleges.
